Martha
Power, daughter of Hannah and John. I
have been unable to locate a marriage record for Martha. I found a couple of possibilities in the BMD
Index at findmypast.co.uk. One is for a
Martha Power to either Newton Athow or Roger Sherrington in 1865 in Liverpool,
Lancashire, England. [21]
I located another marriage record for Martha Power to William McKinless,
married in 1866 in Lancashire.[22]
I
searched the census records for a family with these husbands hoping the birth place
of Martha would help me narrow down the search but was unable to find a census
record match for any of them in England.
It is possible she died before marrying.
I found a death record in the Freebmd index for a Martha Power, dying at
age 17 in 1865.[23] She was christened in 1848 so this could be
the right record but it needs to be requested to verify.
·
Eliza
Power, daughter of Hannah. Eliza
married John James Barker. She was
living in South Normanton, Nottinghamshire with her husband from a tleast 1881-
1911. I found two possible death records for Eliza in Nottinghamshire. An Elizabeth Barker died in 1919 and an Eliza
A Barker died in 1930.[24] Both these records require further research
to see if one of them is the Eliza Power Barker in this family.
·
John
James Barker, Hannah’s spouse, a John James Barker died in 1922 at the age
of 73 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England.[25] This is a possibility for Eliza’s husband and
needs to be verified.
